BALLISTIC Ballistic is a heavy duty nylon weave that has been specially developed to maximise its anti-abrasive properties, giving a fabric that is hard-wearing, lightweight and breathable.

Exceeded Expectations!

My 4 year old HG Cruise jacket was showing signs of wear and was contemplating paying out the £300 for the latest Cruise 2 when I happened upon this jacket in Wheels. I must admit to not being a fan of FT textiles but at £99 and finding the weight and fit very good I decided to give it a try.
"Baptism of Fire" is appropriate but an understatement as we travelled down to Dover to start our holiday tour. It rain, it poured, hammered and bounced off the road. But to give credit where it's due the jacket remained 100% waterproof, including the pockets.
After 10 days in EU it received 3 days of downpour testing on our return journey from Austria without any problems.
My only negative comment is the venting. This is a warm jacket even without the liner and the vents don't seen to pass very much air and it gets a bit sticky after a while. As an all-year UK jacket it's looks like it will do very nicely.
If it had some softer fabric liner around the neck it would be almost perfect.
Very good quality and excellent value for money!
